Job summary

Morgan Stanley in London is seeking an eFX Trader to monitor trading systems, manage risk, and develop data-driven trading ideas for the eFX book. You will analyze market structure and pricing, translate insights into strategy, and provide client-focused content.

This role requires strong math/physics background and deep FX knowledge. The team values analytical rigor, independent work, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• MSc or PhD in mathematics, physics, or a similar quantitative subject.
• Extensive know-how of the FX market dynamics for G10 currencies.
• Experience in EM markets is beneficial.
• Deep understanding of Macro HF, Macro RM, Cross asset funds and corporate client base.
• Strong technical communication skills & ability to work independently.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and practical problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
• You can analyze and interpret complex information quickly and accurately.
• Familiarity with market making tools; Bloomberg and Excel experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the trading system, risk management and researching new opportunities.
• Create trade analytics requiring an understanding of deeper market structure.
• Responsible for trading and managing risk for the eFX Trading book.
• Actively monitoring the markets for opportunities in eFX markets.
• Generating trade ideas and market comments to increase the business footprint.
• Managing daily profit and loss reporting and utilizing quantitative knowledge for relative value analysis.
