Job summary

A leading education provider in the UK is looking for qualified EFL teachers for summer programs from June to August 2026. You will teach English to young learners in lively settings, manage classroom activities, and participate in CPD sessions. Ideal candidates will hold appropriate teaching qualifications (CELTA or equivalent) and have a passion for education. Flexible contracts available, with salaries ranging from £260 to £640 per week based on hours worked and experience.

Contract Lengths

Contract lengths: You can choose contracts from 3‑8 weeks long, between 20th June to mid‑late August 2026. Depending on your flexibility and chosen school, you will ideally be available throughout July. Dates can be a little flexible. We can provide optional full‑board accommodation in all centres, excluding central London, so why not try a new location for summer?

NON‑RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTS: (all locations) Hours: Options of contracts from 16, 32 or 42 hours per week – 15 hours teaching + 1 hour CPD over 5 days per week (usually Monday to Friday); 30 hours teaching + 2 hours CPD only over 5 days per week (usually Monday to Friday) + admin; 42 hours contracts – 6 days per week (usually Monday to Saturday). 15‑30 hours teaching + teacher admin time, welfare of student time and/or leading excursions/activities.

Experience: It’s the ideal opportunity to gain or further your CELTA or PGCE teaching experience as you will be welcomed and supported by a highly experienced academic leadership team. This is an especially attractive opportunity for NQTs/ECTs, as we offer weekly CPD sessions. We further support you with observations and appraisals.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Teachers should have a first degree or equivalent and must be EFL/TESOL qualified (e.g. CELTA, CertTESOL or another TEFL certificate which meets Accreditation UK criteria). PGCEs in English, Modern Foreign Languages or Primary are also welcomed.
  • DELTA/DipTESOL or equivalent MA qualification desirable.
  • Educated to Degree level (preferred).
  • Experience of teaching using Interactive Whiteboards and Digital Teaching Platform is preferred.
  • Experience of teaching Exam Preparation for Trinity GESE is desirable.
  • Experience of working with young learners.
  • Be collaborative, have a passion for teaching and EFL.
  • Have a working knowledge of safeguarding practices.
  • You must already have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor you.
  • All teaching qualifications must include a minimum of 6‑hours observed teaching practice as part of their course. This will be evidenced in your qualification transcript. We are unable to accept certificates without this, in line with Accreditation UK standards.

We are a British Council accredited, leading provider of summer school study holidays. We welcome over 6,000 young learners from around the world each summer, between mid‑June to mid‑August. Our mission is to help students improve their English, while having a fun and unforgettable holiday. During their 7‑14 day stay, our students experience engaging classroom lessons and a lively programme of activities and excursions. Our class sizes are small: 15 students on average and students vary in age from 8‑17, depending on centre and course booked. Ready‑made lesson materials are provided to align with our syllabus. There are also comprehensive teacher notes available for you to use to reduce planning times.

Pay & Contracts

260.33 – 639.60 per week plus holiday entitlement.

Contract NEW – Are you qualified to teach EFL and are free between June to August 2026?

  • 42 hours per week over 6 days – 624.60 per week / 629.60 for 1+ year experience / 639.60 for 3+ years experience + holiday entitlement.
  • 32 hours per week over 5 days – 520.67 per week / 525.67 for 1+ year experience / 535.67 for 3+ years experience + holiday entitlement.
  • 16 hours per week over 5 days – 260.33 per week / 265.33 for 1+ year experience / 275.33 for 3+ years experience + holiday entitlement.

  • Loyalty Payments (if applicable) – £20 per week.
  • Paid at the end of your contract.
  • Residential Contracts – Locations: Bournemouth, Uxbridge (West London), Canterbury, Northampton, Oakham, York. Hours: 42 hours per week. This consists of 15 or 30 hours teaching + teacher admin time, welfare of student time and/or leading excursions/activities.
  • Pay for Residential Teachers – 42 hours per week over 6 days: Teacher 577.47 per week / 583.03 for 1+ year experience / 594.14 for 3+ years experience + holiday entitlement.
  • Loyalty Payments (if applicable) – £20 per week.
  • Paid at the end of your contract.
