Job summary

Auxo Advanced Engineering in Derby is seeking an experienced Effluent Plant Operator for a 4-month contract. You will operate the site's effluent/wastewater treatment plant within a busy FMCG manufacturing setting, ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include monitoring the treatment process, carrying out routine testing, maintaining chemical dosing, recording plant readings, and supporting maintenance and continuous improvement with other teams. Mon-Fri days, Derby location.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating an effluent, wastewater or sewage treatment plant.
• Experience in a busy FMCG, food manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Good understanding of effluent treatment processes and environmental requirements.
• Comfortable carrying out routine testing, monitoring and sampling.
• Strong grasp of health, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate the site effluent treatment plant safely and efficiently.
• Monitor and control the treatment process within required parameters.

Effluent Plant Operator - 4 Month Contract

Are you an experienced Effluent Plant Operator looking for a new opportunity within a busy FMCG manufacturing company based in Derby? You will have previous experience operating an effluent/wastewater treatment plant within a manufacturing environment. As an Effluent Plant Operator, you will play a key part in ensuring the site's effluent treatment process operates safely, efficiently and within environmental regulations. This is a 4-month contract working Monday to Friday on days.

As an Effluent Plant Operator your role will involve:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the site effluent treatment plant
• Monitor and control the treatment process to ensure it operates within required parameters
• Carry out routine checks, inspections, sampling and testing of the effluent plant
• Monitor chemical dosing and ensure chemicals are maintained at the required levels
• Identify, investigate and report any issues with the treatment process
• Carry out basic maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping of the effluent plant and associated equipment
• Respond to alarms, breakdowns and process issues in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of plant readings, sampling, chemical usage and maintenance activities
• Ensure the site remains compliant with environmental legislation and internal procedures
• Work closely with the Engineering, Production and Environmental teams to resolve issues and maintain efficient plant operation
• Ensure all health, safety, environmental and company procedures are followed at all times
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency and reliability of the effluent treatment process
