Job summary

Biscuit International UK Limited in Gateshead is seeking a dedicated Machinist to join our production team and help ensure products meet required standards and specifications. You will operate multiple machines to fulfill customer orders on time in full and contribute to a safe, efficient production line.

You will set up and run Capper machines, wrappers, labellers, checkweighers, and printers; diagnose tool malfunctions and perform repairs; train new machinists and ensure high quality, correct

Qualifications

• Right to work in the United Kingdom
• Experience in food manufacturing and food handling
• Good verbal and written English communication
• Level 2 Food Safety and Manual Handling

Responsibilities

• Set up and ensure the day-to-day running of the Capper machine
• Operate machines including wrappers, labellers, checkweigher, printers, and the Capper machine
• Diagnose machine tool malfunctions and perform adjustments or repairs
• Ensure product quality and correct codes
• Assist in training new machinists
• Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE
• Ensure clean as you go is adhered to
