The role

Ferrovial Construction is looking for Graduate Quality Engineers to assist with, and in some cases be responsible for, day-to-day activities on a variety of major UK infrastructure projects. The Ferrovial 3-year graduate development programme is designed to develop personal, professional, and technical skills through a blended approach. You will work under the supervision of Quality Managers.

Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the achievement of Health and Safety in accordance with company policy and ensure Quality standards on our projects are upheld.

Key Accountabilities

  1. To assist in writing and reviewing quality documentation including Quality Management Plans & Inspection and Test Plans
  2. To support the development of briefing and communication strategies to ensure quality plans and important information is understood and operated by all employees and subcontractors
  3. To assist in monitoring compliance of construction works on site and relevant documentation in accordance with Works Information (including design drawings), Ferrovial standards, and relevant Technical Standards
  4. To assist in carrying out reports for the senior Quality team
  5. To support the Project Quality Manager with investigations and audits
  6. To advise on quality requirements and best practice, promoting a continuous improvement culture across the site team and Innovation
  7. To promote customer requirements throughout the business
  8. Adopting and promoting Ferrovial Construction UK Vision and Values.
  9. Taking ownership of the work assigned to you.
  10. Adhering to safe working practice regulations on-site and ensuring that all staff comply with the same.
  11. Support Ferrovial Construction Environmental and Sustainability policies and procedures

Skills and Competence

  1. We are looking for graduates with:
  2. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels
  3. Excellent written and oral English language
  4. Degree or Masters (All disciplines considered)
  5. Motivated to learn and add value to the team, the role, and the Graduate programme
  6. Analytical thinker who enjoys problem-solving
  7. A proven team player who can effectively work with others
  8. Enjoys working under pressure to meet deadlines
  9. Proactive approach to working and learning
  10. Commercial awareness and an understanding of the industry
  11. Familiar with all Microsoft packages
  12. Technical Knowledge (Civil, Mechanical and / or Electrical)

Desirable

  1. Must have right to work in the UK by the start of employment and the entirety of the graduate programme.
