Educational Psychologist

Location: 10 Prince Edward Road, NE34 8PS

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 12+ months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00 - 37 hours per week

Pay Rate: £470.29 Per Day

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessments and advice to support children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to statutory assessments and written reports.
  • Offer consultation and guidance to education settings and local authority teams.
  • Support early intervention and inclusion strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with council policies and professional standards.
Person Specification
Must-Have Requirements
  • Qualification in Educational Psychology recognised in the UK.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Enhanced DBS check (issued within the last 12 months or registered on the update service).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Relevant professional experience in an educational or local authority setting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
  • Previous experience working with a local authority.
  • Knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory assessment processes.
  • Strong report‑writing and communication skills.
