A regional educational service in Harrogate seeks an Educational Psychologist to enhance inclusive practices and work collaboratively within the Educational Psychology team. Successful candidates will possess a required level of education and be dedicated to making a difference for children and families. This is an exciting time within North Yorkshire Council’s Educational Psychology service. We are a valued team within the Council and are committed to growing our EP team even further in the next year. We are looking for innovative, and solution‑focused psychologists to join us in shaping the direction of our educational psychology service for the future.
As an Educational Psychologist you will join our central Educational Psychology team, and work alongside a wider multi‑agency team, making a valued contribution to developments within the team. Currently, our roles include working with our inclusive, additionally resourced settings that are an integral part of mainstream schools to embed consistent, inclusive practices. These settings are currently referred to as Targeted Mainstream Provisions, or TMPs. Support to these settings will be mainly systemic, although casework will also be provided.
We have expanded our service offer via new funding streams for more proactive/targeted work developed through the Delivering Better Value projects. Our vision, is to develop a creative educational psychology offer, underpinned by consultation, empowering others, and sustainability.
We are also committed to providing our team with CPD opportunities. The team recently commissioned CPD from Kensington and Chelsea’s Bi-Borough Education Psychology Services to deliver a CPD day on consultation; the second part of this training will take place in March.

To be successful you must be a creative and forward‑thinking psychologist with the knowledge, skills, enthusiasm and willingness to use psychological frameworks to facilitate positive change. You must have a masters or doctorate level qualification in Educational Psychology and be registered with the HCPC.
