Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council invites applications for an Education Wellbeing Officer to join the Education Wellbeing Service. The role works within an EWS locality team, providing advice and support to schools using data to inform priorities.

It involves collaboration with the Attendance Lead, school staff and other agencies to help families access the right support at the right time. The post includes direct engagement with children, young people and families in schools and communities,

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with children, young people and families is essential.
• The post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults; PVG scheme checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support to schools using data to inform priority areas of work.
• Work with Attendance Lead, school staff and other agencies to co-construct collaborative approaches to enable families to get the right support at the right time.
• Attend meetings in schools, visit family homes and support children, young people and their families in the community.
• Facilitate and support wellbeing programmes for children, young people and families in collaboration with partners.
