Job summary

Educato Limited is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support in an EYFS Nursery in the mornings and assist the Reception class in the afternoons. The role emphasizes nurturing engagement, safeguarding, and collaboration with teachers to advance children’s development.

Ideal candidates will have experience with EYFS or primary-aged children, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate reliability and enthusiasm for early years education.

Qualifications

• Experience with EYFS, Nursery or primary-aged children beneficial.
• Enthusiastic, nurturing and confident in supporting children's learning and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a child in an EYFS Nursery during the morning.
• Support class teacher and Reception class in the afternoon.
• Encourage learning, development and engagement through activities.
• Support social, emotional and communication development of children.
• Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with routines and day-to-day classroom activities.

Job description

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Providing 1:1 support to a child within an EYFS Nursery setting during the morning
• Supporting the class teacher and children within a Reception class during the afternoon
• Encouraging children's learning, development and engagement through classroom activities
• Supporting children's social, emotional and communication development
• Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assisting with classroom routines and day-to-day activities
• Following school policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support children's progressThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience working with early years or primary-aged children who is enthusiastic, nurturing and confident supporting children's learning and development., Previous experience working with EYFS, Nursery or primary-aged children
