Education Support Worker

We are seeking an Education Support Worker to provide essential support to young people with high needs. This role involves removing barriers to learning to promote effective participation and facilitating the delivery of education programmes to small groups and individuals under the direction of tutors and managers. The successful candidate will ensure that learners are kept safe at all times and that all activities comply with statutory regulations and best practices.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to young people with high needs, ensuring effective participation in learning activities.
  • Facilitate the delivery of educational programmes to small groups and individuals, as directed by tutors and managers.
  • Monitor and support the safety and well-being of learners throughout activities.
  • Ensure that all practices adhere to statutory regulations and guidelines set by the Service Area, Directorate, and wider Council.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to identify and address learning barriers for individual students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
