An education recruitment agency is seeking a Teaching Assistant in Northampton. This role, suitable for both part-time and full-time candidates, focuses on supporting children with diverse learning needs. Simply Education is working with a highly specialised and nurturing school who supports children from age 7 to 16 years old. Their students have a diverse range of learning needs, specialising in autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, speech, language and communication needs, and associated behavioural challenges.
The school are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is suitable for both part-time and full-time applicants, but you must be available to work between 8:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
This is an excellent opportunity for those with mainstream school experience who are looking to transition into a SEND setting. Some pupils present with complex behaviours associated with their additional needs, so patience, resilience, and a positive approach are essential.
Experience working with children or young people is essential, whether that be within a school setting or through a transferable role (for example, through sports coaching).
