A local council in Scotland is seeking an enthusiastic candidate to support its Early Learning and Childcare service. The successful applicant will help deliver strategic objectives, contribute to improvements, and lead ELC initiatives. Candidates should have experience in ELC leadership and a strong commitment to quality education. The successful candidate will support the Senior Education Officer in delivering the strategic vision, values, and aims of the service, ensuring the provision of a high-quality, efficient, and effective Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Service. As part of West Dunbartonshire Council's central Early Years Team, you will contribute to continuous improvement across our ELC settings and funded ELC providers. You will work collaboratively within a central team of officers to promote and implement high-quality outcomes through play pedagogy approaches at the early level and for children aged 0-3 years. As a member of the Early Years Central Team of Education Support Officers, you will report to and take direction from the Senior Education Officer for ELC. Your role will involve supporting, developing, and maintaining high standards across our early years provision.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
