Job summary

Hoop Education recruits enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work in schools across South Wales. This role supports pupils' academic progress, wellbeing and classroom engagement while gaining valuable experience in education.

Responsibilities include 1:1 and small group support, assisting teachers with lessons, keeping pupils engaged, encouraging confidence and positive behaviour, preparing learning resources, and monitoring progress with feedback to staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Caring, reliable and proactive.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting teachers with the delivery of lessons and learning activities
• Helping pupils remain engaged and focused throughout the school day
• Encouraging confidence, participation and positive behaviour
• Preparing learning resources and classroom materials
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
