Are you a passionate Sports Coach or Sports Graduate looking to make a real impact in a school setting? A supportive and inclusive school in Newhey is seeking energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join their team this January as SEN Support Assistants, using sport and physical activity to inspire and support pupils with additional needs. About the Role:

  • Support pupils with a range of SEN including autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
  • Use physical activity, movement and coaching strategies to engage and motivate learners
  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to help build confidence, self-regulation and social skills
  • Assist the class teacher with behaviour support and personalised learning approaches
  • Help create a positive, structured and encouraging learning environment
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe, supported and ready to learn
    Sports Coaches, Sports Graduates, PE Graduates or candidates with strong sporting backgrounds
  • Experience working with children or young people (coaching, youth work, school or SEN experience welcome)
  • A calm, patient and resilient individual who can inspire through sport
  • Someone who can use creativity and physical activity to help pupils engage
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
