Job summary

National Institute of Teaching invites applications for a Research Assistant to contribute to rigorous teacher professional development research within the Evaluation and Observational Research team.

You will design and implement academic research alongside programme teams, collecting data, performing analyses, and producing outputs for researchers and policymakers. The role involves hybrid working with in-person meetings approximately fortnightly and occasional national travel.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or related field.
• Experience contributing to quantitative and/or qualitative research design.
• Advanced proficiency in statistical methods and data handling.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proactive and collaborative approach to problem‑solving.
• Reflective practice with commitment to professional development.
• Strong English communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement academic research with NIoT collaborators.
• Collect quantitative and/or qualitative data and conduct analyses.
