Overview of the Role and Key Goals

As the Placement Coordinator, the Education Placement Consultant is ultimately in charge of finding, overseeing, and administering every work experience placement.

In order to maximise the conversion of trainee placements into permanent, sponsored work contracts, the primary strategy goal is to proactively find and establish partnerships with schools, especially those that hold sponsorship licenses for the Skilled Worker Visa.

Principal Duties

1. Establishing Collaborations and Sourcing Sponsorships

  • Strategic Sourcing: Investigate, target, and build enduring connections with HR departments and head teachers in schools and Multi-Academy Trusts.
  • Sponsorship Focus: To guarantee that all partnership leads provide a feasible visa pathway for foreign trainees, it is imperative to focus on institutions that possess the Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship License.
  • Contract Management: Work with partner schools to negotiate and carry out Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Advocacy: Visit schools to evaluate placement quality and build ties.

2. Placement, Conversion, and Trainee Vetting

  • Compliance Vetting: Oversee the required procedure for acquiring and monitoring DBS checks for every student, guaranteeing adherence to placement regulations.
  • Preparation & Matching: Perform thorough applicant screening, give students pre-placement orientations, and carefully pair trainees with the best educational setting.
  • Performance Monitoring: Serve as the main point of contact, keeping an eye on trainee performance and getting input from mentors at the school.
  • Conversion Focus: Follow up with schools proactively to determine the likelihood that the placement will result in a permanent employment contract and/or sponsorship of a visa.

3. Reporting and Operational Management

  • Data management: Verify that all employment, placement, and trainee data are appropriately entered, saved, and updated on a daily basis on the CRM/ATS system.
  • Reporting: Monitor important KPIs for placement success and provide management with weekly summaries of placement data.
  • Support: Perform related tasks, such as calling students and informing instructors of trainees’ placement status.

Organisational Behaviour and Responsibility

  • Professional Standards: Always adhere to the confidentiality, data protection, and safeguarding (IAG) regulations.
  • Accountability: Take part in frequent performance reviews and provide correct departmental performance reports.
  • Excellent IT abilities (CRM data entry, Excel, Google Suite) and a commitment to using formal English in all correspondence are requirements for IT proficiency.

Essential Competencies and Credentials

  • Experience: At least two years of demonstrated expertise in sales, relationship management, or educational recruitment in the UK school sector.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with the UK education system (QTS, MATs) and the sponsorship procedure for the skilled worker visa.
  • Core competencies include outstanding communication, negotiation, and organisational skills as well as painstaking attention to detail (CRM data management).
Advantages

Competitive base pay with a commission plan based on sponsorship and placement performance.
