Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Education Mentors to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners. Roles involve working in students’ homes and in community settings across the UK, with flexible hours and hybrid opportunities.

Mentors support confidence, life skills, and emotional regulation using child-centred approaches. Roles are self-employed, with interview rolling as applications arrive; DBS clearance and 2+ references are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs (e.g. ASC, ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, trauma, PDA, mental health)
• Understanding of child-centred holistic work and ability to adapt curriculum
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people in homes and community settings
• Provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support with creative activities
• Support development of life skills, confidence and independence
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies for a range of needs
• Provide feedback to track progress and adapt support as needed
