Yorkshire Pie Company Education Lawyer Leeds or Bradford position—an opportunity to join a growing education law team providing specialist advice to academies, independent schools, colleges and universities across Yorkshire.

You will handle a broad range of education law matters, including governance, admissions, and safeguarding, with support from an Education Director. Flexible working options and a pathway to leadership may be available as you grow with the practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitors with experience in education law.
• Keen to develop a long-term career in the education sector.
• Experience in related practice areas welcome.

Responsibilities

• Advise schools on academy conversions, joining multi-academy trusts and transfers between trusts.
• Liaise with the Department for Education on funding agreements.
• Provide advice on admissions, exclusions, safeguarding and SEND.
• Advise on governance, including articles of association, directors' duties, company secretarial matters and regulatory compliance.
• Support business development to grow the firm's education sector offering.
• Depending on experience, manage your own caseload or lead matters with senior support.
