Job summary

VWV is seeking an associate or senior associate to join its education law team in the Birmingham area. You will work on contentious and non-contentious matters for education providers, advising on admissions, exclusions and appeals, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

You'll operate in a hybrid model, spending at least two days a week in the office, with opportunities to advance as you shape your career in a fast-evolving sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in education law or public law is preferred.
• Ability to advise on admissions, exclusions and appeals, safeguarding and SEND.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in education sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise on admissions, exclusions and appeals, and student behaviour issues.
• Handle safeguarding, SEND and equality matters.
• Manage complaints and claims including court and tribunal work.
• Provide incident management and reputation protection for schools.
