Job summary

Chailey Heritage School is seeking an Education Assistant to support pupils with disabilities in education, care and clinical tasks. You will work within a warm, multidisciplinary team to enable meaningful learning and personal care throughout the school day.

The role involves intimate personal care, assisting with meals and mobility, and following care plans and therapy programmes. Training is provided, and safeguarding is a priority.

Qualifications

• Hands-on care and personal care responsibilities as part of daily routine.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team including teachers, nurses and therapists.
• Willingness to learn and follow care plans, with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to access classroom learning and personal care.
• Assist with health needs and clinical tasks in line with care plans.
• Follow detailed education and therapy programmes to enable meaningful learning.
