Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is recruiting a School Support Assistant Team Leader for Black Mount Primary School in Biggar. The role is 32.5 hours per week during term time, with hours Monday to Friday 8am to 3.15pm (45 minute unpaid break). Salary ranges from £26,011 to £26,333 per year.

You will lead a small team and support pupils, families and staff with strong ICT and administrative skills. The successful candidate will have experience with children/young people in a formal setting, be capable

You must have excellent ICT skills and be able to undertake a variety of tasks using a range of software applications. You must be a competent administrator able to evidence your organisational skills and experience. Previous supervisory experience is desirable.

You must be prepared to work flexibly and should have experience of or involvement in the care and welfare of young people in a childcare environment.

  4. As a School Support Assistant Team Leader, you will be required to work closely with school management, support staff, pupils and families. Please describe how you would build positive working relationships and ensure effective communication across a school community.

Preferred candidates identified after the selection event process will be required to assist the recruitment team, if need be, to ensure timely completion of recruitment checks.
