Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Security Control Room Officer to join a public sector client's team in Edinburgh. The role entails operating CCTV systems, monitoring alarms, and conducting mobile patrols. Candidates should possess a full UK driving licence and SC-level security clearance. This position offers a shift pattern of 12 hours on a 4-on / 4-off basis, along with a 21% Shift Disturbance Allowance.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• SC-level security clearance necessary.
• SIA CCTV Operator’s Licence training provided if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Operate CCTV systems to detect security incidents.
• Monitor alarms and liaise with emergency services.
• Maintain records of incidents and shift handovers.
• Provide keyholder services for site access.
• Conduct mobile patrols across Edinburgh.
• Manage access control during silent hours.
• Serve as first responder for out‑of‑hours activations.
• Assist with administrative tasks.
