A reputable manufacturing company in Wakefield seeks Edge / Hand Polishers. The role involves operating machines and polishing surfaces to specifications. Job description

My client in the Normanton area require Edge / Hand Polishers.

Role

• Basic machine setting and operating
• Working to production drawing and templates
• Edge polishing of granite and other solid surfaces to dimensions for fabrication
• Ensure Process Planning Sheets are correctly completed for stock calculation
• Clean and maintain machinery and tools
• Maintain a tidy work area
• Perform visual and dimensional quality inspection checks

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience of worktop manufacture would be a distinct advantage but is not essential as training will be provided
• Experience of working within a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage
• Ability to work to deadlines and have a flexible approach to workload and duties

Physical Requirements

• Applicants should note this is a physically demanding role with manual handling and heavy lifting involved

Working Hours

Working Days (Apply online only) (x 2-3 weeks)

We also have a weekend shift working Friday / Sat / Sun - (Apply online only) hrs
