Job summary

Safran Seats in Cwmbran, South Wales, is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to drive AI innovation for edge-based cabin systems. You will design, train and deploy AI/ML models, integrating them into real-world embedded platforms while collaborating with engineering and research teams.

The role focuses on delivering practical AI solutions for passenger experience, with opportunities to lead proofs-of-concept, manage timelines and engage with external partners.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
• Proven experience training and deploying AI/ML models on real-world problems.
• Hands-on with edge or resource-constrained platforms (MCUs/MPUs/SoCs).

Responsibilities

• Build edge-AI solutions for cabin data systems and passenger experience.
• Lead proof-of-concept trials and demonstrate AI value for Safran products.
• Collaborate with universities and tech partners on AI initiatives.
• Maintain project plans, budgets and technical records.
