Job summary

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London seeks an experienced Emergency Nurse as Band 7 Team Leader Emergency Care Nurse. You will provide clinical leadership across the ED, work in Resus and assessment areas, and take on Nurse in Charge responsibilities while guiding a team of nurses.

You will engage in research, audits, and service development as part of the senior nursing team, contributing to safety, flow, and performance targets within the department.

Qualifications

• RN (Adult) or RN (Child) registration is required.
• Core post-registration emergency nursing education (Acutely unwell Adult or Child).
• Practice assessor qualification or equivalent.
• BSc or evidence of study at level 6 with ability to complete BSc.
• Safeguarding level 3 certification is required.
• ATNC/ETC or equivalent (or ability to undertake within 6 months).
• ALS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational activity on each shift to support ED 4-hour standard.
• Act as professional role model, leading and coordinating the nursing team.
• Hold shift responsibility for management and organisation of the ward/department.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality nursing care and liaise with multidisciplinary team.
