A leading global financial services firm seeks a team lead to oversee the development of economic models and analytics related to critical minerals. The successful candidate will guide strategic development, mentor a team, and integrate innovative techniques into analytical tools. The role requires advanced expertise in economics and data science, strong leadership, and experience with Python. The Team: The Models & Scenarios team is responsible for the development and maintenance of economic models, conducting scenario analysis, and deploying economic analytics to help our clients make better decisions. We work closely with our Insights and Analysis regional teams to support the forecasting process, to develop new models and analytical tools, as well as other parts of S&P Global with economic and financial analyses. We also provide clients with bespoke analyses to help them quantify their strategic, political, and operational risks. The Impact: Working with teams in S&P Global Market Intelligence and S&P Global Energy, you will lead a team developing a suite of probabilistic graph models for critical minerals analysis. You will own the vision and execution for the analytics, and as such you will guide strategic development, mentor talent, and drive innovation across the Models & Scenario team.
