Economics and Accountancy Lecturer - Full-time, long-term temporary role from December 2025 until June 2026

We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Economics and Accountancy Lecturer to join a college where students benefit from high-quality teaching and a broad curriculum that prepares them well for their next steps. Staff have high expectations and provide effective support to help learners achieve their goals. Leaders are ambitious and ensure that safeguarding is prioritised across the college.

Duties as Economics and Accountancy Lecturer
  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons in Economics and Accountancy to post-16 learners
  • Plan and assess learning in line with curriculum and qualification standards
  • Support students in achieving academic and vocational targets
  • Provide feedback and guidance to help learners progress
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement and progress
  • Contribute to departmental and quality assurance
  • Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards
Ideal Economics and Accountancy Lecturer
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, QTS) or relevant FE teaching experience
  • Strong subject knowledge in Economics and Accountancy
  • Experience teaching post-16 learners or delivering vocational qualifications
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and support learners of varying abilities
