Job summary

White Stuff is seeking an Ecommerce Trading Executive to actively manage and optimise site content, delivering the best possible customer experience and supporting trading performance across channels. You will work closely with the Digital Marketing, Digital Optimisation and wider ecommerce teams to maximise conversion and drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven ecommerce trading experience, ideally in fashion or retail.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting demand and revenue targets.
  • Experience reporting on ecommerce KPIs including conversion, AOV, sessions, and margin.
  • Solid understanding of on-site merchandising and QA processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage trading calendar and ensure updates are briefed on time.
  • Coordinate seasonal site transitions and content loading with Marketing and Product teams.
  • Lead content, navigation, and PLP optimisation for seasonal campaigns.
  • Build and maintain homepages and landing pages to support priorities.
  • Continuously check the site to deliver the best customer experience.
  • Test and sign off on staging and live promotions.
  • Be available for on-site checks ahead of key launches with time off in lieu.

Primary objective of the job:

The e-Commerce Trading Executive is responsible for actively managing and optimising all site content to deliver the best possible customer experience and support trading performance across all channels. Working closely with the Digital Marketing, Digital Optimisation and wider eCommerce teams, the role exists to maximise conversion, elevate customer experience and drive profitable growth.This is a commercially led role that sits at the heart of the Ecommerce team.

What you’ll be doing:
Trading & site management
  • Actively manage the trading calendar to ensure all updates are briefed in on time.
  • Coordinate new campaign and product launches, working closely with the Marketing and Product teams.
  • Lead and coordinate major seasonal site transitions, including content briefing, content loading, navigation restructuring, PLP optimisation, category re‑mapping and implementation of seasonal trading strategies.
  • Build and maintain homepages and landing pages to support trading priorities and campaign launches.
  • Continuously check the site to deliver the best possible customer experience.
  • Test and sign off on the staging site.
  • Test promotions before going live.
  • Be available for on-site checks ahead of key launches and promotions, including outside standard hours where required, with time off in lieu given in return.
  • Check MD pricing has been uploaded and scheduled for Sale launch.
Merchandising & content
  • Organise merchandised categories and influence visual merchandising.
  • Use merchandising tools to create category pages, including content mapping, copy implementation and product curation, in collaboration with the digital marketing team.
  • Utilise conversion optimisation tools to improve key web metric including revenue / demand
  • Plan, build and maintain site navigation structures and taxonomy to improve discoverability and the customer journey.
  • Optimise on‑site search.
  • Work with the creative team to use the best imagery, and flag imagery issues with the imagery team to support reshoot requirements and maintain tracking.
Performance & optimisation
  • Review product and asset performance to influence the briefs.
  • Monitor the competition and report on ideas.
  • Suggest A/B tests to maximise performance.
  • Own day‑to‑day management of outfitting tool, including performance monitoring and quality assurance.
  • Maintain and optimise returns tracking pages.
  • Maintain product review groupings.
Email & operational
  • Recommend products to be used on emails and check links before approval.
  • Email engine configuration.
  • Update and maintain terms and conditions.
Team & ad-hoc
  • Work closely with the rest of the e‑Commerce team to support all trading activity across all channels.
  • Support the rest of the e‑Commerce team with ad‑hoc projects.
What you’ll need:
  • Proven experience in an Ecommerce trading role, ideally within fashion, lifestyle or retail
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering against demand and revenue targets
  • Experience reporting on Ecommerce KPIs including conversion, AOV, sessions, demand and margin
  • Solid understanding of on‑site merchandising, including algorithm-based and manual rules
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with digital marketing, optimisation teams, creative and buying/merchandising teams
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness with an understanding of consumer trends and competitors
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with confidence using data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised, collaborative, and commercially focused
