Job summary

TJX Europe in Watford is offering an Ecommerce Placement Programme for 12 months starting September 2027. You’ll join the eCommerce team and rotate across key areas, gaining hands-on experience on strategy development and day-to-day execution for off-price retail across the UK, Germany and Austria.

This paid placement combines collaboration with cross-functional teams, learning opportunities, and a hybrid working model to balance on-site and remote work while building a network within a Fortune

Responsibilities

• You'll work closely with teams across eCommerce and the wider business, contributing to strategy and tactical execution while developing a strong understanding of off-price retail and eCommerce.
• Over 12 months, you'll gain hands-on experience within your designated team whilst collaborating and partnering with the rest of the function.
• You will also partner with your ecommerce placement peers on cross-functional work that will offer the perfect forum to expand your network, further your understanding of the business and contribute to the overall strategy.

About The Program

The eCommerce team at TK Maxx works hard to land that experience with our customers every day, exciting them about the product that has just arrived, encouraging them to buy it before it sells out and delivering an experience on site that is comparable to the joy of shopping with us in store! We do that across 3 transactional sites in the UK, Germany and Austria balancing a European outlook with the need to engage a local audience with relevant product and content.

As part of the department, you’ll be collaborating with partners in the broader eCommerce team as well as other functions within the business, daily. You’ll contribute to developing strategy and delivering our tactics. You’ll need to balance creative thinking with a sharp commercial focus; and grasp what eCommerce means in an off-price organisation as you home your all-round skills. Our off-price business moves faster than many other retailers, so you need to be agile and ready for every challenge that comes your way!

During the 12-month programme, you’ll get assigned to one of the key teams within the eCommerce department and will partner and collaborate with the rest of the function across the year. The eCommerce teams include: The Online Trading team, The Online Content team, The Site Optimisation Team, The UX Design team, The Digital Product Development team & The Digital Operations team

What We’re Looking For

• Students on a sandwich degree, studying a degree in any discipline
• Strong interest in everything digital including websites, apps, digital marketing, social channels, product
• Curious and customer focused with an analytical mindset
• Skills gained through studies in areas such as the following are desirable but not essential: UX & Design, UI, Digital Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Data & Analytics; Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Digital Operations; Business Operations, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Digital Business
