A global consulting firm based in the UK is seeking a North East Team Lead to spearhead its ecology team. This leadership role involves guiding high-quality ecological services, fostering client relationships, and driving team performance. The successful candidate will have significant experience in ecological assessments and regulatory compliance. The position offers flexible working conditions and opportunities for professional development.
As the North East Team Lead, you will be at the forefront of our ecology team in the region and contribute to driving success for Tetra Tech's UK nature team. This role combines leadership, business development, and technical excellence. You will guide your team to deliver high-quality ecological services while fostering new opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.
Your primary focus is to positively lead, manage, and grow the ecology team, providing mentorship and support to staff in their professional development. You will oversee the delivery of a programme of works including complex ecological projects, ensuring technical quality and timely completion, while maintaining positive engagement with clients and providing feedback to the team. You should thrive in a fast-paced, high-quality environment and be able to balance multiple responsibilities that come with a lead role.
We provide Tetra Tech’s dedicated Project Management training and encourage you to lead projects that align with your technical skillset. You will support colleagues on project deliverables, bids, and proposals, and collaborate with colleagues across the wider business on multi-disciplinary opportunities and projects.
Tetra Tech is a dynamic, global provider of high-end consulting and engineering services. We offer flexible working (including hybrid options) and focus on talent and skills, not postcode. The role may require time in an office or other working spaces to suit those involved. We also offer internal and external training and mentoring, and opportunities for career progression.
We work with Planners, Archaeologists, Landscape Architects, Masterplanners and Engineers in a collaborative environment that values openness and support. Our ecology team has received recognition for excellence and strives to lead with science to deliver sustainable solutions.
