We’re working with a top-tier Environmental Consultancy who are on the lookout for an experienced Consultant Ecologist to join their growing Birmingham team. They have offices in both the city centre and on the outskirts, so you can pick whichever suits you best.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out protected species surveys
  • Pulling together quotes and tenders
  • Writing detailed reports (PEA, BNG, HRA, EcIA, etc.)
  • Running medium to large‑size projects – keeping an eye on timelines and budgets

What they’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience in ecological consultancy
  • Degree in Ecology or similar
  • Ideally, have a protected species licence
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good working knowledge of UK wildlife legislation
  • CIEEM membership
