Are you an Environmental Advisor/Consultant/Ecologist or similar with a background in bats/badgers or another relevant area? We are looking for someone to join one of the world's largest UK defence and engineering companies, contributing to a high‑performance organisation known for its training, development and commitment to environmental excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Implement the environmental element into the compliance management system, including policies, risk assessments, procedures, guidance notes and related documentation.
  • Communicate environmental policies and procedures effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage the project’s Environmental Management Plan, Emergency Response Plan, Environmental Risk Profile, and Aspects & Impact register.
  • Create a project‑specific Environment and Sustainability Threats and Opportunities profile within the environmental management platform.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of the compliance management system to meet ISO 14001 standards for the site.
  • Support the sustainability strategy, focusing on activities in the workplace, marketplace and overall community.
  • Perform occasional night and weekend work, with time compensated in lieu.
  • Travelling to relevant sites as required (travel costs covered).
  • Other responsibilities as required.
