The Bulwell Academy is an 11-18 academy serving families in and around the Bulwell area of Nottingham. We are seeking to appoint Directors of Achievement to driveimprovements in academic performance through theidentification and provision of appropriate academic interventions to tackle underperformance, to provide high quality pastoral support, ensuring high attendance and good punctuality and to improve the behaviour and culture of specific year groups.

The rolewillhaveresponsibility for devising and co-ordinating appropriate interventions for students within identified year groups whose progress is of concern and learning gaps have been identified, working with the Vice Principal and Assistant Principal for curriculum to ensure that tuition and interventions are appropriate,overseeingthe rewards and consequences system and leadingthe integration of SEND,safeguarding andpastoralsupport plans, and working with the SEND team and SENDCO to implement effective SEMH strategies.

We are looking for candidates who have experience of working in a pastoral role within a secondary education setting who can demonstrate experience of successfully raising student academic performance and achievement and driving improvements in behaviour, culture, and attendance within a school.
