Qualifications

  • Proven experience in EC&I engineering within a process or manufacturing environment.
  • City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience with DCS/SCADA systems.
  • Strong understanding of environmental and health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels.
  • Fully conversant with instrument loop drawings and P&IDs.
  • Logical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Formal electrical qualification qualifying as multi-skilled, including 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (desirable).

Job Title: Electrical Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Technician

Location: Glasgow | Salary: £47,239 per annum + Annual Bonus Scheme

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities
  • Perform fault diagnostics and carry out corrective and reactive maintenance on EC&I systems
  • Ensure maintenance plans and performance targets are met safely and economically
  • Deliver improvement projects aimed at increasing plant reliability and reducing operational costs
  • Support and coordinate contractors to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
  • Participate in an on-call rota to respond to plant and equipment breakdowns during and outside normal working hours, including weekends, nights, and bank holidays
