Job summary

A leading engineering and maintenance provider in Reading is seeking a QC Engineer. You will perform a wide range of QC Engineering tasks, including creating documentation and ensuring compliance during construction. Candidates should have experience in highly regulated industries and relevant qualifications like C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection. Qualifications

  • Experience in reviewing drawings and Inspection Test Plans.

Responsibilities

  • Perform QC Engineering tasks including construction and inspection work-packs.
  • Create and maintain Quality Documentation.
  • Carry out Site System walks downs for compliance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of QC Engineering tasks to include but not limited to the following:
  • Build and compile construction and inspection work-packs in line with the Project Completion Programme.
  • Create and maintain Quality Documentation.
  • Ensure all Project Processes and Procedures are adhered to highest of standards and are Coordinated with all team members on site.
  • Observe Construction Processes and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency and prevent defects from occurring.
  • Carry out Site System walks downs prior to handing to Construction to ensure all drawings are in line with the Site Specification and ITP.
  • Alert teams when defects or non-conformances occur and perform a root cause analysis to understand why issues happened and how to prevent them from recurring.
  • Quality Assurance activities to provide clear, traceable evidence of compliance.
Experience
  • EC&I discipline.
  • Good understating of QA/QC Procedures.
  • Experience in reviewing drawings, Inspection Test Plans and the ability to compile Observation and Defect Reports.
  • Understanding of and familiarity with standards and specifications.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite essential.
  • Timely and accurate completion of Inspection and Reports.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry (Nuclear/Oil & Gas Construction).
Qualifications
  • C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection.
  • Current security clearance (SC) (Desirable).
  • CSCS card (Essential).
  • Must be able to obtain SC clearance.
  • ISO 9001 Certified (Desirable).
