EC&I Project Engineer – CWP Development & Delivery

Job summary

Bilfinger UK is seeking an EC&I Project Engineer to develop EC&I Construction Work Packs (CWPs) from BUK design, following client standards for tendering, sub-contractor management, handover and closeout.

Based at the Warrington Head Office with weekly visits to NGT sites, you will support a multi-discipline national infrastructure project, coordinating with managers and subcontractors to deliver safe, compliant and timely CWPs and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in E&C&I engineering with at least 2 years in a hazardous industry.
• MSc/ Degree / HND/C in discipline or related field experience.
• CEng or IEng (Chartered/Incorporated) Preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills required as part of a large project team.
• Self-motivated to achieve client deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop EC&I CWPs from design packages meeting technical, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure work packs include drawings, specifications, procedures, ITPs, RAMs for delivery.
• Ensure subcontracts are within budget and schedule, escalate concerns early.
• Collaborate with project/construction managers to plan EC&I installation/commissioning.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure resources are available for CWP execution.
• Identify risks and address safety concerns to avoid delays.
• Communicate progress with stakeholders and the EC&I Engineering lead.
• Chair weekly meetings with subcontractors to drive construction.
• Attend meetings with clients and representatives as required.
• Ensure handover documentation meets standards and is accurately recorded.
• Make independent decisions and provide expert technical support.
