A leading engineering firm based in Warrington is seeking an EC&I Design Engineer for permanent employment. The role involves ensuring compliance with design specifications and project execution while emphasizing safety and quality standards within nuclear projects. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant engineering qualification and experience on regulated sites. This position offers a competitive salary of £50 per hour inside IR35.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or HNC/HND required.
  • Experience working on regulated nuclear sites preferred.
  • Proven installation, commissioning, and operations experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure specifications for designs are checked for safety compliance.
  • Control changes and document work effectively.
  • Implement the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
  • Liaise with designers for correct interpretation.
  • Implement Quality Plans and Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure team work is checked to client specifications.

  • Job Title - EC&I Design Engineer
  • Location - Warrington
  • Salary - £50 an hour - Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure any and all specification for clients design are implemented and checked for safety compliance
  • Ensure changes are effectively controlled and that work is well documented and coordinated to the correct managers
  • Ensure the implementation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP)
  • Improve construction safety performance to meet Company targets
  • Liaise with designers and / or technical experts to ensure correct interpretation of their requirements and obtain authorisation for modifications as a consequence of local conditions.
  • Implementation of Quality Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments etc.
  • Ensure the teams work is checked thoroughly and maintained to the specific requirements of the end client
Key Skills/Qualifications
  • HNC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering field
  • Time spent working on highly regulated sites (preferably Nuclear)
  • Installation, commissioning and operations experience
