Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking an EC&I Design Engineer to deliver electrical and instrumentation design tasks, develop drawings, and produce high-quality reports for diverse infrastructure projects in the UK. You will perform calculations, reviews, and site surveys to support project development and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (or related) and IET BS 7671 18th Edition, with at least 3 years' relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• IET BS 7671 18th Edition qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant engineering or design role.
• Proficient with engineering design and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned EC&I design tasks and prepare technical reports.
• Interpret design requirements and develop electrical/Instrumentation drawings.
• Perform design calculations (cable sizing, fault level) using AMTECH ProDesign and lighting using DIALux.
• Carry out instrumentation design calculations and system assessments.
• Prepare and maintain Electrical and Instrumentation design dossiers and documentation.
• Review project requirements and deliver tasks per schedule and budget.
• Support site surveys and project development with technical assessments.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, regulations and safety requirements.
• Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments and continuous improvement.
