Machine Setter Operator Vacancies in Telford, Shropshire

We are working with a leading food manufacturing business in Telford to recruit experienced Machine Setter Operators on a permanent basis. This company is expanding its production capacity with two new lines and aims to hire staff by early September.

Candidates should live within a 20-25 mile radius of Telford, Shropshire.

The role involves working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour days and nights). The starting salary is just over A£33,733 per annum, increasing to just under A£37,500, and eventually over A£41,000 once fully trained.

The selection process includes a two-stage interview, with an initial numeracy and literacy assessment on site.

Ideal candidates might have experience as a Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Technical Operator, Process Operator, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter, or Skilled Machinist in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and oversee the performance of production lines, ensuring efficiency.
2. Identify and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime.
3. Drive continuous improvement and collaborate with development teams.
4. Maintain compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety standards.
5. Perform start-ups, changeovers, and daily operations following SOPs.
6. Train and mentor team members to uphold high standards.
