University of Edinburgh invites applications for a part-time Earth Fellow to support the Forest and Peatland programme. The role focuses on developing engagement strategies and initiating outreach, working with a diverse team of researchers, students, and staff on climate-related initiatives.

Ideal candidates are current postgraduate/PhD students in the 26/27 year, with strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder engagement and content creation for digital platforms.

Formación

• Current University of Edinburgh PhD student in the ‘26/’27 academic year.
• Strong written and verbal communication to engage with diverse audiences.
• Experience in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Understanding of various social media platforms and tools for creating content that resonates.
• Familiarity with digital tools and software for creating and managing content, such as CMS, graphic design software, and basic video editing tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, staff and student groups.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team.
• Understanding and interest in environmental and sustainability issues. Familiarity with the Forest and Peatland Programme would be a plus.
• Experience with developing communication tools and developing engagement strategies (desirable).
• Experience in organising an event (desirable).
