Job summary

Cheltenham Community Pharmacy is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy team. You will support day-to-day operations, assist customers at the medicines counter, and learn through a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.

You will work towards a recognised qualification while gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare setting, with emphasis on customer service, stock management and safe medication handling.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English are desirable but can be provided as part of the course.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
