Job summary

Bolton Talent Solutions & Bolton College are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Work Based Tutor to join us on a temporary basis starting October 2026. You will assess and support learners in the workplace, guiding them to achieve Early Years qualifications while meeting awarding body requirements.

The role combines workplace assessment, learner support and progress monitoring with planned visits and timely feedback, for a fixed-term through to December 2026.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or related discipline.
• Recognised Assessor's qualification.
• Experience supporting/assessing/mentoring learners in a workplace.
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service (or willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Support and assess learners undertaking Early Years qualifications within their work-based settings
• Plan and conduct workplace visits, reviews, observations, and assessments
• Provide high-quality coaching, mentoring, and feedback to support learner progress and achievement
• Monitor learner performance and maintain accurate assessment records in line with awarding body requirements

Term: Temporary (anticipated through to 16th December 2026)
Hours: Full time & part-time options
Pay Rate: £25.71 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: October 2026

About the Role

Bolton Talent Solutions & Bolton College are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and experienced Early Years Work Based Tutor to join us on a temporary basis.

You will support learners undertaking Early Years qualifications in the workplace, providing high-quality assessment, guidance, and coaching to help them develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for successful careers within the Early Years sector. This role combines workplace assessment, learner support, and progress monitoring, ensuring learners achieve their qualifications whilst meeting industry and awarding body requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and assess learners undertaking Early Years qualifications within their work-based settings
• Plan and conduct workplace visits, reviews, observations, and assessments
• Provide high-quality coaching, mentoring, and feedback to support learner progress and achievement
• Monitor learner performance and maintain accurate assessment records in line with awarding body requirements

Key Qualifications & Experience Required

• A relevant qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or a related discipline
• A recognised Assessor's qualification
• Experience supporting, assessing, or mentoring learners in a workplace environment
• An enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
