Job summary

The Opportunity Provider Ltd in the Chilterns area is seeking an Early Years Trainer to share expertise with apprentices while working a hybrid schedule that combines home-based planning with on-site visits. This maternity cover position focuses on extending practical early years knowledge and coaching in real settings.

You will travel to meet apprentices, design personalised learning plans, and help learners apply functional skills in maths and English within childcare contexts.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager.
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent).
  • Confidence with technology and strong organisational skills.
  • Level 2 (GCSE) qualification in English and maths (or a willingness to achieve this).
  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for travel within your area.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting apprentices in nurseries and childcare settings to develop skills and confidence.
  • Creating personalised learning plans for each apprentice.
  • Demonstrating how maths and English contribute to early years care.
  • Building relationships with employers and updating them on apprentices' progress.
  • Managing administrative tasks and planning using Google Suite and similar systems.

Salary: From £29,000 + tax-free bonus | Location: Hybrid (covering the Chilterns area) | Role: Early Years Trainer


This is a temporary position to cover Maternity leave.


Are you a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in your career? As an Early Years Trainer with The Opportunity Provider, you'll have the chance to share your knowledge and experience, shaping the next generation of childcare professionals. This role lets you stay connected to the sector you love while offering the flexibility of working from home, travelling to meet apprentices, and making a real difference in their careers.


What You'll Be Doing


  • Supporting apprentices working in nurseries and other childcare settings, helping them develop their skills and confidence.

  • Creating personalised learning plans to suit each apprentice’s needs, ensuring they have the tools to succeed.

  • Demonstrating how functional skills like maths and English play a role in early years care.

  • Building strong relationships with employers and keeping them informed about their apprentices’ progress.

  • Managing administrative tasks and planning effectively using Google Suite and other systems.


Your typical week will include at least 3 days of travel to visit apprentices in your region, with the remaining days spent working from home.


What You'll Need to Bring
