Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant - Buckhurst Hill

Location: Buckhurst Hill, Salary: £90 -105 per day, Start Date: ASAP, Working Hours: 08:30 am to 04:00 pm (Mon–Fri)

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant and supportive community at an outstanding primary school in Buckhurst Hill. This role is crucial in helping children with diverse learning needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Morning support: Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, including ADHD and self‑harming behaviours.
  • Inclusive learning: Create a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Collaborative efforts: Work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement tailored support plans and interventions.
  • Afternoon flexibility: Offer crucial assistance across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting to the needs of different age groups.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Nursery or Early Years Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Must be experienced with nappy changing.
  • A proactive, resilient individual who can uphold high standards and bring out the best in pupils.
  • Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
  • Ability to support with nappy changing and cater to individual special educational needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
