Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a Speech and Language Therapy Associate Practitioner to support the Flying Start and Families First programme across Ceredigion. The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team with Speech and Language Therapists and Assistants in a flexible, community-based environment.

Key duties include supporting pre-school children aged 0-5, training families and staff, and contributing to resource development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 0-5 is essential.
• Experience working with children with Additional Learning Needs is highly desirable.
• Personal qualities: excellent time management, organisational and interpersonal skills; creativity; confidence to support others; empathy towards children and families.

Responsibilities

• Support early years to develop Speech, Language and Communication skills.
• Assist Speech and Language Therapists in training and upskilling families, pre-school settings and professionals.
• Embed training within settings and develop resources for clinics and training.
• Work across varied settings including client homes, nurseries, schools and clinics.
