Zusammenfassung

Rochdale Borough Council is seeking an Early Years Worker to support 0–5 children and families across Family Hubs, community settings and homes. You will deliver play-based learning, support language development and lead WellComm assessments to identify needs.

Join a multi-disciplinary locality team delivering practical support, ensuring strong records and safeguarding. Travel across the locality is required, with community-based duties and flexible hours on a 37-hour week.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with children aged 0–5 and/or families.
• Understanding of early years development and school readiness.
• Experience delivering activities, interventions or support to children and parents/carers.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality and improving outcomes for children.
• Flexibility to work across Family Hubs, community venues and family homes.

Aufgaben

• Deliver engaging one-to-one and group sessions for children and families.
• Plan and deliver play-based learning and development activities in line with the EYFS.
• Support children's communication, language, speech and listening skills.
• Help families develop positive home learning environments.
• Complete WellComm Assessments and identify children who may need additional support.
• Support families through Early Help Assessments and whole-family plans.
• Welcoming and engaging families through Family Hubs and community services.
• Signposting families towards appropriate services and wider opportunities.
• Work alongside partner agencies and professionals to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities.
• Maintaining accurate records and case notes using systems including Liquidlogic, Early Help Modules and tracking databases.
• Ensuring the voice of children and families is heard and reflected in the support provided.
