The City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting an Early Years Practitioner for Greengables Early Years Centre. Salary: £30,188-£34,452 (pro rata for part time and sessional). Hours: 21.6 per week, 39 weeks sessional.

The role provides education and care in line with council policies, working as part of a team to create a stimulating environment balancing learning and care, and meeting each child's and family's needs to help them reach their potential. PVG scheme checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide education and care for children and young people within the policies and systems laid down by the Council and Education Department.
• Work as an effective member of a Multi-Disciplinary or other Team promoting a stimulating environment which balances education and care for children and young people.
• Meeting children’s individual needs and those of their families, enabling everyone to achieve their potential.
• This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. PVG Scheme checks are required.
