Salary

£27,277 to £28,372 per annum based on a 39 hour contract / pro rata if applicable. Posts are initially offered at the minimum salary point £13.45 per hour, with progression to the higher salary point £13.99 per hour through annual incremental pay rise.

About The Role

These posts require you to have a relevant and recognised level 3 or above qualification as recognised by the Department for Education (DfE). We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals that are passionate about high quality care and education for children. You will join a team of professionals caring for children of students and staff at the university, supporting them to achieve outstanding outcomes through stimulating learning experiences indoors and outdoors.

Main Duties

You will work within a team that seeks to secure bonds with children and their families, supporting the little ones in achieving outcomes. You will use your in‑depth knowledge and experience to deliver thought‑provoking learning opportunities, treating the indoor and outdoor environment as the third teacher. Experience supporting children with English as an additional language is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Relevant and recognised level 3 or above qualification as recognised by the Department for Education (DfE).
• Satisfactory enhanced disclosure and all employment checks completed prior to employment.
• Right to work in the UK; this position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Skilled Worker, so only candidates who already have the right to work in the UK can apply.

Hours of Work

The role is for 23.4 hours (3 days), working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 08:00 to 18:00 (shift system). Some flexibility is possible. An in‑depth induction will support you in your role.
