The Role

• As an Early Years Practitioner (or Senior Practitioner, depending on experience), you will:

• Create engaging, child-led learning experiences
• Support children’s development in line with the EYFS
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Maintain a safe, stimulating, inclusive learning environment
• Carry out key person responsibilities, observations and planning

Senior role responsibilities include:

• Leading high-quality practice
• Supporting colleagues and mentoring where needed
• Taking on lead responsibilities during sessions

About You

• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or is working towards it)
• Has enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine love for early childhood education
• Works well as part of a supportive team
• Communicates confidently and builds strong relationships
• Is reliable, caring and committed to high-quality childcare

For senior applicants: Experience leading practice or supporting others is desirable.

Location

• Crackerjacks Preschool is based on the site of Cringleford Primary School, Dragonfly Lane.
• 10 minutes from Norwich city centre
• Close to the A11 / A47 Thickthorn Interchange
• Accessible via regular bus routes

Hours & Start Date

• Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 3:45pm
• Term-time only
• Full time (part time considered)
• Start date: January 2026
• Closing date: 12/12/2025
