Job summary

Bright Horizons Teddies Woking Day Nursery is seeking an Early Years Practitioner in Woking. Part-time hours, 11am–3pm, Monday to Friday, with a £1,000 welcome bonus on joining. The nursery sits in a warm, homely building with a large garden and easy transport links, offering a supportive environment and strong HEART values.

You will plan and deliver activities tailored to each child, ensuring safety and inclusion while promoting a love of learning. DBS checks and safeguarding remain priorities.

Qualifications

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection requirements.
  • Ability to develop trust and strong partnerships with colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities for key children.
  • Foster a safe environment that encourages expression and learning.
  • Support development towards milestones and outdoor learning.

Nursery – Bright Horizons Teddies Woking Day Nursery Salary – £14.04 - £16.51 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience) Hours - Part time 11am to 3pm Monday to Friday Welcome bonus - £1000 welcome bonus upon joining * (T's & C's apply) Location – Woking

We’re looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our Teddies Woking Day Nursery, situated in Woking and is located within a 5 minute walk from the town centre which provides excellent transport links using both trains and buses. This nursery is in a local area we have the town centre with lots of coffee shops and also a lovely park which is close enough to allow staff the opportunity to make the most of their breaks. We also have the local village of Horsell just a 5 minute drive away. The nursery is located in a converted house giving this a warm and homely feel for the children and staff alike. We have a lovely large spacious garden allowing you to extend the learning and maximise the opportunity to use the space and nature area, for staff with a love of outside play.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

What we’re looking for
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
